8n tractor-started slow leak for a year or so but

Governor pours oil out.could that gasket cause that or is that proberly a seal,tractor runs great it has always smoked bad ,but it pours oil out can't use it,if it is a gasket sounds simple but if it is a seal maybe let shop do it they want $200 dollars,can't move it 6 feet would have to put 3 quartz of oil in it,early 8n tractor
