Default CUB LT1045 (46") deck belt replacement

Having a **** of a time getting the new belt over the front or idler pullies. Almost seems like the belt is 3"-4" too short! This is an '08 before they redesigned with the side by side pullies.

    Here's a long-winded vid, not sure if it'll help -

Cub Cadet LT1045 Mower Deck Overhaul bearings and blades. Pt1 - YouTube

I have a Cub RZT50, different idler setup - I finally built an "anchor bar" with a hole in it big enough for the pointed end of brake spring pliers, positioned it within reach of the idler spring, drilled a hole for a bolt and now I take the spring off, install belt, re-attach the spring. Much less "blue air" while I do this job :=) Steve
