    No I don't smell anything burning and I have tried adjusting the clutch.
    I found a kubota dealer close to where I live and they said they would check it out for me.

    how hard is the trans cover to pull?

    does the steering box cover the bellhousing?

    between those 2 you can see what it is doing with the input shaft and clutch..
