Sounds ok. Think I will have to put in a thermost though. Never warmed up. Need that heat to throttle up. It has been a jurney good to hear it run.

Good to hear that it is running.
oil pressure same at idle as when running at speed .
thermostat may be needed after all.

Hi -

You absolutely need a *correct* thermostat in there. I would talk to Bill at Valley Power Equipment (Valley Power) and get the one that was supposed to be in that engine. For it to develop max power, the thermostat needs to be the right temp and flow rate.

Thanks guys..
I suspected I would need a thermostate do to the nature of diesel motors. Ken, the oil lite stays off as long as engine runs. Thomas, I have a manual that tells me the temp that the thermostat should be. At our Riebies Auto Parts place, if I give them the rim size, top and bottom clearance, and temp, they can match one up that will work. If that doesn't come through I will call Valley Power, thanks.
