Back Hoe wont move
Dad lets on to me he backed into a tree yesterday with the hoe and now the boom will not extend. I have about 2 inches of play in the cylinder and hear a gurgle in there too with tractor off. Tractor on it moves a fraction that's it. All other functions works as they should. Internal cylinder issue I am guessing right.

Re: Back Hoe wont move
Most likely, sounds like the piston was probably stripped off the end of the rod. Have a local hydraulic shop? Many times a good shop can fix them as cheap as we can buy the parts, saves a bunch of huntin and guessin.

Re: Back Hoe wont move
Well an update on this is that is is now fixed. hydraulic shop rebuilt the cylinder. There was a little gouge in the ram that I had sanded down smooth a few years ago, so we just had them replace that too. $230 for the fix.
