MF231 won't start
Help,
Yesterday my MF 231 was running great, like always, and suddenly it appeared to run out of fuel. I confirmed the tank had diesel fuel. It is clean, no water in the fuel filter, and fuel is flowing. The motor will turn over but won't start. What is the next step?
Thanks,
Butch

Re: MF231 won't start
Where have you checked for fuel flow?Do you have a mechanical shut off or an electrical solenoid shut off?
If you have continuous flow from the tank bottom through to the injector pump inlet, bleed the pump and the injectors.make sure the battery is fully charged and then make sure all the connections, bleed screws, etc are tight first( don't reef them down, just make sure they aren't loose). You might be suckinng air in somewhere. Make sure the tank vent (usually in the fuel cap) is unplugged. If you have good fuel flow to the fuel pump inlet and you can't get fuel at the injectors, I'd suspect the pump.
