Case DX and New Holland TC/Boomer Cruise control issue FYI
I was replacing the strut that adjusts/holds the steering column on my DX 33 over the weekend. While I had the side covers off and was swearing at how there's no room to get the pin out of the bottom end of the cylinder, I found that the wires for the magnet that holds the pedal for the cruise control were frayed. The protective sleeve was gone and the coating on the wires was starting to show wear.

If your cruise control doesn't work, or just the next time you have the left side bodywork off below the dashboard, take a look. I tapes, put plastic tubing on, and also put some tape on the lever itself so it won't have a sharp edge. Should be good to go for another 900 hours.....
