Hi all,
I recently got a hold of a f40 that I started to restore. It needs some clutch/transmission work so I was in the process of splitting the tractor, but it does not want to come apart. I then removed the pressure plate bolts and now the clutch assembly spins freely (I was hoping that the clutch would just stay on the transmission shafts and then come apart) but the tractor still wont split. The tractor does have a 2 stage clutch but I wouldn't think that would matter if the pressure plate bolts are out. I wouldn't think the pilot bearing would hold it that tight or??? Any help would be appreciated
