pto grinds on 790 deere

Hi all
I'm having problems when engaging the pto it grinds when you try to
Engage it. I would think that this was a clutch issue but it shifts ok
And I noticed that when I engage the clutch that the pto contiues
To turn??

That is a clutch problem...your manual should describe how to adjust freeplay, IIRC.
And when engaging the clutch (which is a 2 stage unit), make sure you are pushing that clutch completely down to the floorboards!

That sounds expensive before I have a stroke I will try to ajust it. What is

Thanks for the help guys ill bring it in the shop tomorrow and try adjusting the clutch hope that solves my problem. Ill let you know
