    Default MF50 air cleaner

Got a 1958 Massey Ferguson MF50 that we bought from the guy across the road. He said he had the air filter in the basement and that he'd get it to us, but he never did, then his house burned down....

Can't find an air cleaner assembly. The YTmag store doesn't have one for the gas engine for the 50. Sent them an email and they said they don't have the part but that one for the TO-35 might fit, but pictures show that they're different --

50, search for air cleaner at the left:

    TO-35:

There's a seller on eBay (griggslawnandtractor) that sells air cleaner assemblies for every other MF model. Sent them a message and their vendors don't make/have one.

They seem to be nonexistent in the used market as well.

Any other ideas for vendors would be appreciated!

Start looking on line for tractor salvage yards. You also might try going to YT Tractor web site and the MF forum. Someone here might ponit you in the right direction.

    Her's a list of 20, MF-50's in various salvage yards. http://www.tractorhouse.com/list/Lis...f=&cdts=&cdte=

Or. go to TractorHouse:http://www.tractorhouse.com/ and post a free "want to buy" ad(3rd item down in red menu on the left side of the page. You'll need to register, and give some contact info, but pretty painless to do so. Sellers usually contact you within 1-36 hours, depending on when you post, and when they check. Don't bite on the first one, get some prices and compare, including shipping. Most have a return policy if you're not satisfied, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
