i have a 3414 gas motor ,.i am looking for info in what carb is supposed to be on it. the one i have is too small and it wont run right. anyone with info would be a great help

That should have the BC-144 gas engine. Here is a link, through Messick's of the BC-144 engine: (BC-144) - 4 CYL. LP & GAS ENGINE There were two carbs. used, and the engine serial number break is listed at the top of the page, just above the exploded view of the carb. that appears. Hopefully it is the original, and maybe needs a kit, as new carbs are rather pricey..!! If that isn't the right carb, by serial number, select the other one in the menu at the left side of the page.
Write down the part #'s and do a Google search. Mostly kits listed in the results, but look further a couple of pages, and you'll find the carbs listed. What I found, are right at $535.00.
