A friend gave me an old log splitter with an Onan CCKA engine on it. It started to leak gas out of carb. and he took it off to fix. He never put it back on and water got into the cylinders. Is it worth trying to fix?
IMO yes. It will require a rebuild but if you don't encounter any other problems then about all you'll need to do is deglaze the cylinders after removing the pistons and an new gasket and probably a new sparkplug.
I have a CCK generator great units, I just wanted to tell you there is a lot of great information on the web site Smoke Stak under onan generators.hope this helps
