hydrostatic lever adjustment JD 318
I put the lever in neutral and the tractor creeps forward. How do I adjust it? Help please. Thanks in advance

From memory there is some adjustment linkage under the hood/ dash. May be down closer to the transaxel. (Been several years since I worked on one) If I also recall correctly it was very touchy to adjust. You have to study how the linkage works to determine if you need to shorten or lengthen the adjustment rod.

See the image below. #28 on the parts diagram is an eccentric that is designed to give you the adjustment you need. On the other hand, I found it much easier to cut a section out of #38 and weld in a turnbuckle on my 420. It appears that the linkage is slightly different on the 318 than the 420 however...So, proceed with caution!
