Hi all, new to the forum
I have a 1981 1200 Ford 4x4 tractor. It has a 16 HP diesel motor. It is a great little workhorse, but lately I have started having issues with it stalling, mainly going forward up hill under load. I thought maybe the fuel tank was getting low (the fuel supply line comes off the front of the tank an inch or so above the bottom.
I topped up tank, checked fuel and air filters, they were good. It ran okay for awhile but then started stalling again. Seems to be fine going down hill or on the flats.
I had been running bio diesel in it, but now I'm back to regular. It's like it is running out of fuel, and when I try to start it, it starts and stalls. Once I roll it down to a flatter area, it will start and level out.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Could it be fuel pump? Fuel supply line?
