before you do all that.. pull the dizzy and rotate it in your hands.. have a battery and test lamp and some gator clip cables. clip battery to dizzy as ground, then clip other side of bat thru test lamp to concave screw.. spin dizzy by hand. observe operation.. bushing clearances.. etc.

Took distributor out found retaining clip out of place thus breaker plate assembly loose causing shaft end play reassembled and now runs on all four but now have a miss might be bad a bad plug getting closer to running like before will keep working until it does

miss can be a plug or wire or even a hanging valve.

see if you can move the miss to other cyl with plug / wire swap.. or if it stays on 1 cyl.. do a comp test.

yes.. tsc, napa.. etc.

some spendy places have pre made ones. otherwise 'roll yer own' cut to fit kits are easilly available.

Spring has arrived so on to new project I purchased a backhoe and plan to run it on my ford 2600 but no external hydraulics purchased a block that bolts on under seat for hydraulic supply for quick connects hopefully pump will supply enough oil should I have any big concerns not used to working on hydraulics
