Cub Cadet i1050
Hello,
I have a Cub Cadet i1050 (300 hours) It is not turning left anymore, and extremely slow in forward. I jacked it up, and both wheels are turning. I removed the deck, and everything I could see appeared to be okay. The fans were both working on top of both rear transmissions. Now the question: is this worth the cost to repair? I was quoted $800 to $1000 parts only, no labor. Secondly, is this something a novice could repair? My mechanical abilities are not that great. Thank you for any advice you have to offer.

Regards,

R. C.

Took it back and they installed a new belt and 2 Pulleys --- about $ 260.00
One one on the engine and the idler
This lasted about 3 hrs all so. I the the 2 pulley on the trans. in the rear ar in need of replacement
The shop manual is free on CUP CADET.com and it even in color

I got it fixed a few days ago! The linkage under the tractor was all that needed to be adjusted. Thank you for the reply. It is for sale now :)
