I have a 1965 Ford 5000. The 3 point stopped working suddenly will not lift at all, even without a load. PTO still turns. Am I looking at a new hydraulic pump? Are there some more common smaller part failures that may cause this? If so, which one would you think is the most likely? We don't have a lot of experience diagnosing, don't want to just throw parts at it either hoping to find it. Too expensive and time consuming :)

The hydraulic pump mounted on the back of the engine is pretty easy to rebuild. Your PTO is independent with its own pump, that's why it's still working.
I'd check remote pressure first before I tore into it. If the pressure is good, it could be a stuck relief/unload valves, blown o-rings and seals. If no pressure, rebuild pump, change filters/fluid and complete overhaul of sump/lift housing cover. The parts are cheap and you'll be in there anyway.
