I was mowing the yard and blades stopped mowing. I noticed the height adjusted on the chassis was not working and sounded loose. Could this be the cause. I removed the mowing deck plates to expose the belt and pulleys and I could move by hand. After doing that, I started the engine and engaged the mower and it ran for about 15 seconds and stopped again like something stopped the blades. Any ideas?

Parking brake not fully released ?

Checked parking brake, not that. As I stated, I take the top plates off exposing pulleys and belt . I can turn the belt by hand and it looks like all pulleys are turning free, I get on the tractor, start the engine, engage the mower, run for a few seconds and stops as if something caught the blades.

It could be a bad PTO switch, or a fault in the wires.
