Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure I have the manual transmission. It only has a forward and reverse on the column. If I want another gear I have to stop and shift the lever beside the seat. Anyway, I was lucky and found the shop manual on line. It showed me how to adjust the clutch. I did that and now it seems to be working better. Thanks again. It's nice to know that there are people that can and will help when it's needed. Jack.

If you have one shifter with 12 gears(or clicks on a potentiometer) inline with a jog it is GST if you have one shifter with an H pattern with 4 gears and a second shifter with 2 it is the FST(Fully Synchronized Transmission).
Either way on the GST/FST the main clutch should not be used very much and the shuttle wet clutches on the column should get most of the use.
I shift my GST all the time without coming to a complete stop as I think you could do with the 4 main gears on the FST, the ranges I think would need a stop.
