I bought a 6' brush cutter from TSC about two years ago. I haven't used it the last year and it has sat outside uncovered. Is there something special I should do to it before I hook it back up to the PTO and use it?
If it has a slip clutch loosen the bolts ( mark where they are set and count the turns ) fire up the PTO a few times and make sure the clutch slips then tighten it to the original setting. Wouldn't hurt to change the oil in the gearbox either.

I would check the oil level in the gearbox, add grease to all the zerks, and service the slip clutch, if so equipped. You may want to change the oil in the gearbox if it looks "milky."
