I have a opportunity to let a local high school shop class repaint and do minor electrical repairs on my tractor. the cost would be a 2 to 3 hundred dollar donation and cost of parts (decals etc.) Is this a good deal? I want to start taking the tractor to tractor shows and the tractor need some touch up.

I don't know about how good a deal it is, but tell them to mask off or don't paint, seals, fuel caps, PTO shaft, belts, and hyd fittings.

Edit: Forgot to mention not painting any of the vents as typically found on the transmission and gear housings. I know tractor owners would never do that, but these are kids doing the work, correct?

If it is mechanically sound then yes. If not do theechanical work first.

Might look like a bunch of high-schoolers painted it...

If his high schools are anything like the ones around here I'd give them the donation and tell them to leave my tractor alone.
