Starter sticking to flywheel gear

No, but as luck would have it - I was walking out door heading to the auto parts store, I will look

this happens to be a shim kit for a SB bowtie.. but you get the idea.

Dorman, jegs, etc. many sell metal shim kits for starters.

google 'starter shim' and then go to the images tab for more pictures other than the one I posted

Did they replace the solenoid when the starter was rebuilt? That was the culprit when my starter was sticking.

Yes they did. Luckily for a small town we have a starter / alternator / water pump rebuild shop. Quite handy at times!
