Bobcat CT335
I have a Bobcat CT335 HST with about 175 hours on it, and I noticed that
there is a small oil leak from the right rear brake cam shaft. The service
manual shows two o-rings sealing the shaft. Has anyone experienced a
similar leak, and if so, was the repair able to be implemented without removing
the entire brake housing assembly to replace the o-rings?

Here are some photos to clarify where the leak is originating!

Wish I could help, but I have no experience with this.

No experience with that either.
I would pull the arm off the shaft to get a better look what's behind it, if it can be repaired from the outside of the case or not.

Thanks, Vince!
I'll probably call the Bobcat dealer tomorrow. They've been very helpful
with other issues so far. They should know whether a simple repair is
there or not.

I talked with the service manager at my local Bobcat dealer,
and he assured me that the axle and brake housing would
have to be removed to replace the two o-rings.

I think I'll wait until the 400 Hr. service to attempt that,
unless the leak gets too bad.

My CT225 has been prone to hydraulic leaks. I know it will drive you crazy, but you can buy a lot of fluid for what the repair will cost.

That's for sure! So far, this is my first hydraulic leak. As I said earlier, I'll keep an eye on it and hope that it
doesn't get any worse (probably wishful thinking)!

If he can pull the axle housing himself the O-rings are probably only a few $$.
If its not leaking real bad, I would wait for the next transmission oil change, pull the housing and fix it.

I'd like to hear from someone who has pulled apart the brake housing, as i have a seized brake lever in my ct235, where it goes into the transmission. I hammered it enough to turn off the brake, and disconnected the lever for now, and i only have 1 wheel brake for now.
