My Branson FEL control quit working correctly, so I pulled the cover to look at the cables.

See pics,
How did the cable ends get bent!?!? (Yes I know I must have some how forced/done).
Seems very odd to me, thoughts?

If you have been the sole operator I'd say you have been taking lessons from the gorilla who installs filters on the assembly lines. Takes a lot of pushing / pulling force on the joystick after the cable has reached those stops. Hard to believe the steel cable end bent before the cast aluminum socket cracked. Probably have to replace the cables now.

How long have you had the tractor?
Did you buy it new / Sole owner
Has it ever felt "funny" before it stopped working?

Agreed. Especially since (if I'm understanding the pictures correctly) that 2 or all 3 of the ball ends are bent.

I'm more inclined to think something hit downward (hard) on the joystick and bent them not thru over travel during operation. That type of force might have done damage / left marks on the inner areas of the aluminum that we can't see. Still surprised it didn't crack.

I would be inclined to show these to your dealer and see what he thinks.

Good Luck.
