I, rather cleverly, snapped a bolt in a shaft on my Aercore 1500. Tried all sorts to get the thing out but, eventually came across a tool that, had I known about it and had one at the outset, would probably have extracted the remains of the bolt. Unfortunately previous attempts at extraction only succeeded in mauling the thing so there was little to grip and the tool just pushed itself off. New shaft required which has to come from Americaland as there's none in stock in Europeland I'm told.

Anyway, what is this tool? Not sure what the situation is over there but here in Englandland it's a Laser 3986 Impact Stud Extractor - Machine Mart - Machine Mart

Check the reviews. Best used with an air gun if possible I reckon. Just wish I'd had one sooner. Would've saved a lot of heartache and expense.

Not sure that will work on a threaded bolt. Studs have no threads. Snap-On has some good extractors. I have had luck welding a nut to what is left of the bolt also. Good luck with it.
