A while back I posted this thread about breaking my carryall while trying to move a big rock.
Broken carryall

The attached photo shows the aftermath.

I finally got around to fixing the old carryall by cutting and welding in a new piece. (No amount of heating and hammering would budge the bent area)

I also shortened the arms and added a cross brace for a special purpose.

Oh, and I also added some heavy duty all-steel caster wheels which I welded so they would no longer swivel.

The carryall is now used as a permanent platform for my new sprayer. 3pt sprayers cost about $400 for the smallest models plus the cost of the pto pump. I purchased this ATV unit for $300 and it is just the right size for spraying my 2.5 acre lot.

Another pic

The sprayer is a Fimco. 3.5 gpm, 45psi, 25 gallon. It sprays an incredible 30ft path and has a hand spray wand also.

The wheels were left over from a previous project. They work great to roll the sprayer around inside my barn.

It is way-cool /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanks for the comments Don and Mike.

In case you are wondering what I am now using for a carryall, see this Thread.

Here's an image of the incredible spraying coverage of the spray boom. The three nozzles create dense droplets that throw very well and keep drifting to a minimum.

The image is from the Fimcoindustries site. It shows the sprayer mounted to an ATV.

I was skeptical at first, but it really does spray like it shows in the pic.
