I have a Brush Hog 305 that I am goign to try and get going. Its been sitting for about 8 years under a tree. On inspection I cant decide if a nut is missing or not that holds on the stumpjumper? When I first looked at it they had wedgets sandwiched between the pan and the deck to keep it form spinning. Im not sure if they were trying to get blades off or the pan or what the deal is. I cant see any of the square nuts in any online pics. Here is a pic.

Looks like the square nut is welded. That doesn't seem normal, looks like you would have to turn the whole pan to get it off.

The nut is already off. The wedges are there because somebody was trying to get the stump jumper off. It is on a keyed, tapered shaft. Good luck.
