John Deere 2240
Have a John Deere 2240. Hydraulic oil shooting out of what appears to a breather hole on top of shift cover. Changed all o rings & gaskets to no avail.
Please can anyone advise?

Or it can be that that bolt is loose .....to repair it that PTO shifter AND the gearshiftcover must come off ...turn opside down and check bolts and gaskets under it .

Did all that. Still shooting out.

Yes got parts from JD. If you look at the picture it is coming out of the hole in the top of the shift cover

No didn't add locktite. Don't understand, that bolt doesn't look as having anything to do with the breather hole?

Thats not the breathing hole . Breather is at the oilfiller cap at the back with the fillercap.
If you remove the gearshifterover and look at the ack of that shiftercover you will see all the ports for the IPTO clutch/ brake and the MFWD and if equepped the hi-low. I think 4 bolts with different lenthes hold that "sandwitch" together. Check that the correct bolt is at the correct hole AND that those gaskets is not blowen ?
