coolant leaks from overflow tube beside the radiator cap.

the engine block is hot but the leaking coolant is cold.

when engine has stopped a gush of coolant is expelled from the overflow tube.

when the engine is ticking over and the radator cap is removed, air bubbles can be seen rising up through the coolant.

would this be caused by the thermostat being stuck in the closed position?

or would it be a faulty head gasket?

thank you in advance for your help

could be a blown head gasket or even a cracked head i would also check and see if you have any antifreeze in the oil pan

Dex, Hi and welcome to TBN...
You may actually have two problems ...1. The fact you have air bubbles in the radiator is not good , Looks like head gasket or crack as mentioned above.. 2. the cool coolant you mention could be due to a bad water pump or a blockage in the radiator or like you said a stuck thermosat that just not letting the coolant flow.. A test you could due to check flow is to run tractor until warm (10minutes or so) then feel upper and lower hoses , If bottom is hot and top is still cool its not passing coolant very well if at all. Do you have a radiator pressure tester? that could help you find a head gasket leak.
