developed a leak around the fuel filter, ck30 kioti, tried to work with the o ring but no luck.
took it to the dealer and the tech right away saw that the housing was discolored and distorted- gas in your diesel will do this every time he said.
replaced housing and o ring -- no leaks.
the can i'm using for diesel was a can that was used to store gas for the mower, i thought it was such a minimal amount of gas left in it and that the gas and diesel would easily mix and just burn together--- wrong.
a fourty dollar lesson .
heads up.

How large was the gas can. A half inch in the bottom in a 5 gallon can shouldn't cause any problems. Not good to do but shouldn't be a big poblem.

Instead of paying an extra $$$$ for a yellow can, I bought the regular red one and painted it yellow. :)

the can (5 gal plastic red one from wal mart) was used for lawn mower gas and was emptied in the usual way but not washed out before used for diesel.
there was maybe a table spoon full of gas in there.
tech said that was all it takes.
it just separates from the diesel in the filter housing and sits in the bottom of the housing and causes the plastic to distort.
never would have thought this would happen.
