yea,, we've been in winter mode for 3 weeks,
that's not counting the 16" we got in October!

this weekend we hit 30 for the first time in a week,
supposed to be mid 40's tomorrow.. then monday
they are talking high of 20 again... so here we go...

    but,
it is december. so i guess we can't complain any more.

The heavy wet snow usually reaps havoc with the tree branches. It's times like those when you hear the creaking and then the Snap.... Good excuse to buy a wood chipper................

    Thanks JB and LBrown,

John, it also creates the need for a generator

that storm in october was heaveir, very wet
snow,, and knocked our power out for about 10-11
    hrs or so...
we're still in winter here, ground has a good base of
snow... and the rain sunday and milder temps today (mid 30's)
won't really eat away at much base, so with the cold and
maybe more snow coming, hopefully by the time the snowmobile
trails open in 2 weeks we can ride..
but, by then,, we'll probably go back up to 60 again!

Nice pics. I had to go and turn the thermostat up a couple of degrees after seeing them.
