that snow pic just makes me want
to light up that coal stove!
been in the 30's here past few nites too..
but summer is coming, so they say
and cool pic of AF1, I can't imagine an airport
runway that close to a residential street, but
I guess it happens.
Is that the statue of liberty in the background?????

hehehehe  | It's all perspective. The guardrail at the end of the road in the second picture is almost a quarter mile from my driveway. The plane is another 3/4 of a mile past that, at least. Probably closer to a mile. I have a decent zoom.

When I lived in Trenton, I once looked up from my grass cutting and saw a sight that made me shiver. It was a B52 touching down. I lived about 500 yds from the runway and it was airshow weekend coming up.

BTW, what were you using? | I've got a Minolta DiMage Z1. It has a 10 times optical zoom that is equivalent to a 38 to 380mm. Add the 4X digital zoom and it comes out to 1520mm  . In low light is sucks, but on sunny days, I have lots of fun with it.

Yep, I just about talked myself into lighting the woodstove last nite !
Could be worse, if we were in Maine, you only get the last week of July and the first week of August before winter starts all over again !
