| Pictures From The End Of Your Driveway What do you see if you walk out to the end of your driveway and look up and down the road?
I see all kinds of neat things. This was pretty cool today.
Air Force 1 landing on runway 27L in South Bend, Indiana, then taxiing back east to the terminal. The photos have a lot of heat distortion, as it is a tad over a mile away.

So I grabbed the camera and went outside with the scanner on my belt. The neighbor asked why I was standing in the street with my camera? I told him I was going to take a picture of Air Force 1. He said "you'll never get it. It will be gone before you click." HA!!! I kept listening. When they ordered the police helicopter out of the sky I knew he was close so I zoomed all the way out and held focus. I then heard the reverse thrusters and knew he was on the ground. As soon as I saw the nose in the right of the viewfinder I snapped the photo. Pretty narrow view at a mile. I was happy to get the middle of the plane. The taxi was a lot slower.

| Re: Pictures From The End Of Your Driveway South Bend's airport is also a blimp port. We get blimps through several times a year because of Notre Dame football and it is a good place for the blimps to stop outside of Chicago. I have some photos around somewhere of the Goodyear blimp, the Fuji blimp and the Met Life blimp. I just can't locate them right now. I think they are on CD and on another computer.

Tried to put an EEK smiley here, but my computer's acting up.

That's not heat distortion. It's a hallowgram, a mirage, a decoy if you will. The real Air Force One landed after the coast was clear.
