She's a pup...three months old. I'm thinking she'll be 19" at the shoulder. She's smart and as far as energy - she's a nuclear weapon wrapped in a bathrobe.

Nice pics, Fred! You have very pretty dogs! Around here, If I use the D-word (dog), mine will run to see where the intruder is!

This is Pooh Bear, my son's dog and friend. Unfortunately, Bear's health declined a couple yrs back and son had to have him put down. Bear was loved by everyone that knew him. When Bear had to be put down, there wasn't a dry eye in the family. Bear was an American Bulldog. His grandfather was in the movies, he play Peedy in the remake of The Little Rascals. Bear was bread one time and has produced some champion sled pullers.

Today my son has another American Bulldog. His current dog has some of Bear's blood running through him from both his parents. Jackson, called Jax, is a good dog but he is not another Bear.

I'm there now. Monday, we took Sarah off the gentle diet she was on and gave her a tub of ground venison that she relished. Tuesday, the vet confirmed her kidney disease had progressed to the point of discomfort and she had further developed bleeding in her intestines. She was sedated into arrest. Her ashes will be placed in front of the east blind where, silent as ever, she can keep people company during hunting season. She was the best free thing I ever had and a very good companion.

It is funny how dogs find a permanent spot in our hearts. I still miss my Doberman everyday and it has been 3 years. My wife has a hand painted sign hanging in the laundry room where my dogs eat. It says
" dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole"
