I am thinking of restoring this Catepillar pull behind road grader. It has been in the woods for as long as I can remember. I hate to see history disappear.

Re: Vintage Catipiller Road Machine

That would really be a great project. One of my dad's first jobs were running a dozer pulling one of those.

That looks like a great restore project. They are simple to work on and most parts can easily be made. Looks to be a Caterpillar #2 Terracer but I don't recall them having wheels on the front.

It has the plate with the info on it. I thought I had taken a photo of that during this turkey season, but I cannot seem to find it. I will get the specifics next time I am up. It is just cool. You can still move the blade with the wheels.

What are you waiting on? If I could get it for free it would be mine.

Our little town's road department has one like that in front of it's offices. Course it is all painted up pretty. Cool project, hope you take it on.
