Same hawk.... this afternoon
Theses are hot off the SD card!
I saw this one land just over my head while on the tractor. I thought he may of had something, so I turned the machine off and watched, and sure enough it is eating on of my rat snakes. It was only 10 feet over my head. Wish it would just eat the rats....... I saw it catch something small yesterday, but could not tell what it was.
I'm not sure that this is the same hawk. I know we have at least three different raptors that we see on a regular basis. They all look very similiar and have had a nest on the neighboring parcel in a tree just a few dozen yards from the house.
I guess that the red patch on the shoulder is what you are using to identify this raptor?

Enjoyed the pictures. Around here we have mostly have Red Tail hawks, at least that's that mostly what you see.
I've got a cutting torch and a welder sooo YEAH it'll fit!!

Nice!!, I like to what the hawks catch rats and snakes behind the big shredder I had. They knew whn I went into that native field to mow, dinner was coming, this went on for over 9 years. Stunning birds.
