Could you hear them over the tractor engine?
Winter showed up here this morning too - 28 degrees & about 2" of snow. Just a warning shot; it's supposed to clear up again for a while before real winter comes to stay but it makes me glad the firewood is put up.

Nice picture,, reminds me of Eagle Lake Texas,, its know as the Goose hunting capital of the world,, they have a lot of rice fields,, main crop,, along with sand and gravel pits.. some of these pits are miles long and 50 foot deep,, idea for the bird to rest and feed.. early morning they leave the pits and head to the fields.. There got to be a million of them,, just the flapping of the wings will drive you deaf.. its about 40 miles from me.. I try to go up there a couple times a year,, not to hunt but to watch the birds,, Lou
