Cool picts!
Thanks.
Not many foxes left in Southern Ohio it seems. I think there is a large list of declining numbers in fox, grouse, rabbits in my area due to top of the food chain coyote. They're pretty well unopposed except for hunting. don-ohio (:^)
I really enjoy watching foxes too. Here was one (kids named him Felix) that was hunting mice in the backyard a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks have not seen a fox in years. Cool pics.
Thanks, So far I am over 200 photos and on the same set of batteries since December 22nd, they are still reading 98%, not bad considering the subzero temps we had so far this year.
It was the primary reason I got the reconyx camera, although it was expensive. In the past my older cuddeback would be done after 2 weeks and maybe 20 images.
They claim one set of 12 lithium's "AA" are good for almost 10,000 images, so I suspect I could leave it for months, I still need to toy with the sensitivity as I capture blue jays midflight and falling snow off limbs, but overall I am happy. Like Whilslepig said though, the technology can only get better for other brands and hopefully reduce the price. The reconyx also came with nice software, combined with a google earth high res overlay, so you can place your images for tracking over the course of the year.
Some of the neighborhood cats I caught this past week.

Nice photos! I need to put my camera back out. It's not doing me any good in the closet. I got mine last fall. It has probably taken at least 4,000-5,000 pics on the same set of (12) alkaline batteries. Still shows 50% battery life. Pretty amazing battery life compared to the old one I bought five years ago. I program mine to take a photo every five minutes during the morning and evening hours. When I pull the SD card every weekend I will have 400+ photos on it.
