Default Does anybody recognise this tractor?

-edgar-tractor-jpgHi, I recently found a picture of my grandfather on his tractor (see attached). It would be great if anybody could identify the make, model and year. They don't make them like that anymore!

    Kind Regards

    Ian

Absolutely great picture Ian. Love the fact he is out working the field in dress shirt, pants and vest. Real class.

As off the tractor. I have no idea. Enlarging the picture it looks like the from say A. T. 3800.

Sorry no idea about the tractor.

Gosh that phot though is amazing. Ditto on the attire. It amazes me how proper people were back in the day. It looks like your grandfather was wealthy. I bet not everyone on his block owned a tractor.

    Looks like a Fordson. Wrong

Just looked closer at your picture, the engine is mounted to a frame, so it is not a Fordson.

Also noticed you are in London, do you know where the picture was taken?

The clothing worn was typical for the day.

I think the picture was taken near Howden in Yorkshire in the 20's or 30's.

Maybe a Peterbro, made by Peter Brotherhood, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England from 1920-30. 4-cyl, 31hp, Ricardo engine, started on gas, ran on paraffin.
