Looks like a lot of fun DFB. Have you bent your cutter yet? I've got the 513 and it's got some decent dents in the side from rocks (dents pushed outwards). The rear skirt seems pretty thin but I've not yet bent it. Amazing what these things will go through, isn't it /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
You mean like this. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Nothin' I didn't expect considering it is only recommended for grass and light brush. Later on I pressed up against a tree and it flexed back pretty good. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Yeah, that's exactly what I keep expecting on mine but it hasn't happened yet. I guess I'm being sufficiently careful with it. I did back up to a sharp pile of dirt (cutter up and not running) and bent the two rear-most braces. I think it pivoted up too much for the top link. Not a big deal, they bend right back. Do you have the slip clutch? Your PTO guard looks a lot bigger than mine. I've got shear pins and I keep several handy. Last one broke from engaging at too high an RPM. I thought my wife broke one the other day but when I went to give her a hand she was using the mid-PTO lever, not the rear. Between the two of us (and TBN of course), we'll get this tractoring down /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Rob, yea slipclutch. The hood covers the clutch pack. Its about 7" in dia.
You got your lift pins in the "HIGH" or "LOW" postion holes? Book says 413 & 513 can use either position, 613 high position only. Mine was delivered in the high position. I'm gonna switch it around when I get a chance. Try to get more lift height. Could use it especially when getting on and off the trailer. I'm hopin' when get to do this I don't have to trim the driveshaft too. Keepin my fingers crossed. Catch ya later.

Hmmmm, I know exactly what you are talking about, but can't for the life of me remember. I even made a point of that when I read the manual and double checked the cutter. I'm going to guess low since I need clearance for my trailer also.
I'll take a look this weekend. I've been keeping the cutter out at the property as it has a bad habit of smelling up our garage (depending on what I've been cutting).
I doubt the high/low would have much impact on driveshaft length /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
