I just read the post "Aussie Aerial Pics". I don't have any photos that I have taken of my place but there is a place on the web where you can find satelite photos of practically anywhere (In the U.S. at least).

Here is the link to my 6 acres.
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.asp?S=10&T=1&X=2838&Y=23880&Z=16&W=1>http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.asp?S=10&T=1&X=2838&Y=23880&Z=16&W=1</A>

There are three black objects in the lower left side of the image. My house is the object in the center of the three (sitting on a 45 degree angle). The object to my upper right is a pond and the object to the lower left of me is my neighbors.

These are not nice color photos but they are fun to play around with. You can zoom in or out and pan around. The arial photos of my place are were taken May 4, 1997.

You can type in the name of your town in the "Find" box or go to the "Advanced Find".

If you find the arial photos of your place then post the link.

I like the Mapquest.com site since our area is shown as a color map. I attached the pic rather than the URL so I could draw the boundry for our 19 acres. The house is going on a ridge overlooking the lake (where the yellow box is).

What's up Doc ? Beside the aerial photographer.
I found mine on MapQuest and it is b/w. Did you color your picture?
MapQuest has my plot centered better than terraserver. I had to paste 3 shots from terra server to get a close up of my 20A.

Good grief look at that address, I don't know if you need the whole thing or not. My plot has the small pond that is close to the center.

Aint this site great?

Well I just tried to copy/paste the above and it did not work. Sorry. I'll make a couple more attempts and let you know if I make it work.

Also attempted to EDIT the first post. It happened again, timed out, had to logoff and back on to sent this msg.

I took this from the airplane before I landed one day. It's not really good, but I thought it was kind of neat. The black lines show my property. Can't really see the hosue, but you can see the barn... in the very corner near the road...farmers didn't like to waste land /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

No - I didn't pull a "Ted Turner" colorization job on the map - it was like that on the site. My basement was supposed to be dug Thursday, but we got ~12 inches so we're postponed again.
