Interchangable Auger for Planter

I did the search for augers on this forum and found almost the information to answer my question.
Are there other brands of Augers that will fit the PT Planter head. You may recall it is about 3" id on the Head.

In searching posts some have said that Tractor Supply augers will fit, but not in all cases.
Thinking of a 12" and 18" auger to set poles with, needs to go 3' deep.
Looking to see if anyone has found a good sub for the $$$$$ pt auger.

jaquetarr if there is a tsc store close to you couldn't you take your planter head to the store and ask them to see if it would fit their augers?

I see on the 'Attachments' thread someone made a cart for his PHD. Very good.

From my previous search, Tractor supply seems to be the default auger. With all the other brands, Kubota, JD, ect and all the aftermarket models, it appears that no one has found a duplicate of the Power Trac auger. I did look at a 12" auger from TSC and the size seems close. Like TOY sez, I'll have to drag the head down to TSC to get an exact fit.

I've got to get a privacy fence up so the folks down the street can't see my brick making machines. The auger I have is the 30" one. I just can't find posts that size....

The TSC 12" auger fits a little loose. I have one and it works okay I have plans to weld shims on the shaft to tigten it up if I ever get time.
