We have had the utillity grapple on the 1430 for a couple years now and it works great. Use it mostly for brush moving. I would never use it to dig out roots or rocks as it is quite easy to bend if you are not careful.
Since I have purchased the UG, I have not use the grapple bucket once. UG picks up 2-3 times amount of brush and logs than the GB. It just depends on what you are going to do with it.
