Not sure what happened, Ed, but when I tried to go to your first thread, I got an error message instead that "We encountered a problem", etc. And, of course, no pictures on this second thread.

Re: Ed\'s Pictures of 425 and attachments

Well strange thing - The file I was posting had 13 pages
I guess that was too big - but I kept trying to shrink it
all the way down to 1 picture and that would not go
So I think the pictures must be too large - there
must be a way to shrink the electronic footprint

-Can Anyone Help - Moss Your a computer wizard
what am I doing wrong????

Ed -

I'm not sure Word files are among the sanctioned attachment types.

If you just have pictures, the best thing is to post them as jpg files. If you want to post more than one at a time, use a photo editing program to combine a few into one image and then upload that file.

To combine more than, say, 4 picts into one file, you'd probably have to increase your compression to meet the file size limit (still 150K?). Too much compression will degrade the image quality, so I'd recommend batches of just a few. Just keep replying to your latest post to make the thread tidy and easy to follow.

Re: Ed\'s Pictures of 425 and attachments

Sorry I took so long to get back. I had other things to do this weekend that are even more fun than tractoring, like be a dad, put up Christmas lights, bake cookies, etc... Also, we had some power outages and my computer has bit the big one, so I was frankenstiening (sp?) an old 133mhz back together until the new motherboard arrives/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif. Anyway...

Like Harv said /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Lets start with some questions...
What format are your pictures in? jpg, gif, bmp?
If you look at the file properties of the photos, how many kbytes in size are they?
What photo editing software are you using?

Re: Ed\'s Pictures of 425 and attachments

Thanks for getting back to me Moss - I was also busy this weekend - I froze out there this weekend putting up the Christmas lights with my kids - we had a lot of fun though

Well - I think I have it figured out - I am not doing the photo
editing - my friend is - he has the camera - The files were too high resolution - 1mg each - (5000 pixals? does that make sense?) - he cut a few down to 640 so I have three of them
I should get the rest later today

The ones I attached (hopefully it works this time) is the
pictures with the backhoe mounted - It only takes 15 seconds to put the hoe on / take it off - It plugs into the Aux PTO
and I made a clip to hold the Aux PTO lever on while I am using the backhoe - The unit works great - lots of power

Also shown is how I store the unit when not in use
You can also see the custom attachment bracket
I made - I did not modify the backhoe as the bracket
/seat locks directly on the backhoe without any welding
This way if sometime I decide to sell it or something
it will still fit the stock 2425 after I remove the bracket
which comes off in 2 minutes.
