Hello everybody,
I am preparing to put a Kohler 27 hp engine into my 422. The deisel option ended up being very expensive ($5k+) and is therefore beyond my budget and not very cost effective when compared to the 1430.
The Kohler drawings are less than complete. If I could get some approximate dimensions, it would help check my work before I have the 422 apart and discover a dimensional boo-boo.
As a check of my dimensions, the following off a 425 would be helpful:
1. A picture of the front lovejoy coupling between the screen over the flywheel and the vertical portion of the engine cradle.
2. The approximate dimension between the screen and the vertical portion of the engine cradle.
3. Or the dimenstion between the vertical portion of the engine cradle and the vertical face of the forward part of the lovejoy coupling where it goes from a small diameter to a large diameter. This is a critical dimension, but I suspect this may not be visible as it looks like it will be behind the screen.
The Robin engine is destined to become a 10 or 12kW generator.
Thanks in Advance
