So today I
Heard an odd noise at the gas cap.. A burbling.... Pulled the gascap and I clearly had suction.. I know on a gas car this would indicate a blocked vent but what about a diesel tractor,,,

If the cap is plugged, where do i get a new one outside of tazwell?

Carl- Let us know when you find one outside of Tazewell. I think it is some sort of pipe thread, but I have not been able to measure mine well enough to replicate it.

It can be disassembled by sequentially, and carefully popping the "fingers" loose that hold the seal in place. You might be able to clean the vent filter.

All the best,

Peter

My problem with gas caps is how much money I spend when I take one off. Sorry, I just could not resist. Did you find one yet?

No, but haven't looked really. I cleaned it but it still makes a sucking sound (both in wallett and in air) when I open it.
