The Key switch on my PT-425 Moves. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
It will spin when I try to start it or turn it off. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
It doesn't move much, maybe 10 or 15 degrees of a 360 degree circle.
I took the plate off last night and tried to tighten it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif It was already tight, to the point that there are no more threads for the nut to tighten into. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Do I need to add a spacer of some sort to allow the nut that holds it tight to have more threads to use? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
has anyone else had this problem?
If so, how did you fix it?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sounds like there might be a missing washer that should go between the nut and the panel. Most switches that are designed to panel mount come with one, often in the form of a star washer.

I don't recall anyone else posting about this problem.

Haven't had the problem on the PT but i have seen this before on these switches. Add the spacer or just back it off and slide something under it and tighten it back.
