Hi Jack:

I have been very happy with my 425 and the Robin engine. I did run into a problem this week where the engine was leaking oil from the oil cooler hoses. Since the area is very tight in the 425, I took it to a dealer to fix.

My engine is a year and a half old, so it is still under warranty, but the dealer told me that Robin may not cover this because the problem is a hose fitting and not something mechanical?

The hoses and clamps for the oil cooler are close loops and is not a part of the tractor, but a part of the engine.

Can you shed some light on this?

Thanks

Jim!

We'll cover it, unless the mice made the hole in the hoses. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sorry for the late reply, I don't really have time to check this board anymore.

Boy, that would be a mouse with some tough teeth! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I went ahead and paid for the repair, and he is submitting it to Robin for reimbursment.
