Since it was advertised there at TBN I decided to try Rock-B-Gone. I applied it liberally to the boulder pictured in the photo and the results were excellent (second photo). Note that it disolves any gravel nearby the rock you want to remove so use caution.

Probably should be in the "projects" section, but anybody with a regular tractor or backhoe would've just dug out the rock and carried it away.

It was more than the PT could muster. I had to dig a hole deep enough to bury it, and still had to use a pickup to 'slide' the boulder into the hole.

A little more work than a full size machine, but still had only about 3 hours work involved.

I've got 40 acres of similar rocks.... one free to any TBN member that comes and gets it, including loading it into your vehicle.

Two weeks ago I was clearing brush and found over 40 "bedrock morters", some of which are in the attached photos.

I won't bury any of these.

Now that's one way of getting rid of those's bumper benders Phil...if you ever looking for part time job consider New Hampshire, for they don't call us the granite state for nothing....we can grow more rocks than crops. ;)

Don't laugh. There is a guy not far from here making his living trucking landscape rocks from here (CT) to Florida.

My BIL had a "mossy rock" business for years and did well. There are a few more of those businesses in this area. They contract with a landowner and remove rocks, giving the landowner $ per pound. I know I could've gotten a decent price for that rock but getting it out of the ground was beyond my capabillity. Landscapers in the metro areas buy 'em and pay well.

I'd sell the ones with the grinding holes but apparently I'd be violating some "rules".... jeez, those Indians didn't take out any permits or get environmental reviews before they put those holes into the rocks!! The forest service says as long as I leave them where they are and treat them respectfully, I'm not in violation.

That one I buried has just been in the middle of our parking place forever and I'm getting ready to regravel and needed it removed. So far I haven't dinged any fenders or bumpers, but others have and will be glad to see it gone.

A week ago I foolishly thought I'd just dig around to loosen it up and drag it off somewhere. What was I thinking?!
