Can you guys that have 790s help me out?

I was looking at mine on the trailer and the tie rod has a curve in it (bend??).

Is it supposed to be straight?

I think it should from the Deere website - I'll check the toe as well.

Thanks -

THink I answered my own question...

I have about 1" toe-OUT right now - should be about 1/4 toe-IN.

Yup, just looked at mine to confirm your hunch.

It should be straight as an arrow.

Really!?! Mine has been bent from day one. I'll have a look at my parts manual to see. Maybe something they changed over time?

Well - I straightened it out and readjusted the toe-in.

Mine was bent by backing over a stump - I believe....

It was bent enough where it rubbed in the front diff at full lock.

Rob - checked your toe-in, as well.

Sure 'nuf, parts manual shows it as straight. Both 4X4 and 4X2 models. I guess I'll have to get my straightener out this weekend! I expect my tractor will handle much better after this, eh? Should corner like it's on rails...

Rob - I removed the tie rod from the tractor and took off the ball joints. I then put the bent rod into my receiver hitch on the flatbed trailer (truck would work as well) up towhere the bend was. I then put a piece of pipe over the end sticking out for leverage.

Got it pretty straight - you'll be suprised how stout that rod is....
